Carbon Trading to Protect the Environment
Auctioning of Carbon Units (VERs, CERs, ERUs, EUAs, AAUs)
In keeping with the vision of providing Carbon Offset providers with an overall platform to minimize costs in the generation, verification, serialization and trading of their Carbon Offsets, GHG Emissions Corp is offering auctioning functionality to all those participants registering their projects with GHG Emissions Corp. Of course they can also take advantage of the QSYS data management software being offered but is not a requirement in taking advantage of a GHG Emissions Auction. It is also not compulsory for Offset providers registering their projects with GHG Emissions Corp to trade their offsets through a GHG Emissions Auction.

GHG Emissions Corp brings a new level of integrity, transparency and efficiency to the trading of voluntary carbon credits. GHG Emissions Corp offers sellers of Voluntary Carbon Units, RGGI offsets, RECs, Renewable Energy Tax Credit and other environmental attributes a cost effective, demonstrably fair, open, efficient, competitive and accountable mechanism for maximizing net sales proceeds. Many private owners and municipalities currently qualify for sale of credits for past GHG emissions reductions related to flaring, energy production and other operations at their landfills, sewer treatment plants and other facilities. These historical credits, along with credits from current and future operations, have substantial value in emerging environmental credit markets…value that can be maximized through the correct structuring and competitive sales strategies offered by GHG Emissions Corp.

Unlike the few carbon credit auctions which have occurred to date which have been designed to benefit carbon credit buyers, GHG Emissions Corp auctions are designed with features which maximize the net value to the seller, including:
  • Highest bid price wins each lot (not uniform price for all credits sold),
  • Forward auction, meaning many buyers and one seller as opposed to recent auctions designed to minimize the price to buyers in which there are many sellers and one buyer,
  • Real time, email auction where bidders are notified of new bids and can increase their bid if they are not the high bidder, and
  • A minimum sale price for each lot or vintage of carbon credits set at the sole determination of the Seller.
If the minimum is not met, no sale will occur and no fees will be payable to us.

Key Features
  • Secure and transparent easy access electronic email based auction.
  • VER’s, CERs, EUAs, ERUs or AAUs to be offered for sale in individual auctions.
  • Buyers and sellers participate anonymously.
  • All auctioned units are issued and pre-delivered into escrow mitigating delivery risk.
  • Volumes of 25,000 to 1,000,000 to be offered for sale per auction event.
  • Auction events intended to run for two days.
  • Delivery and payment cycle within ten business days.
  • Sellers aggregate units to present a more attractive volume to the market.
  • Buyers may bid for small or large volumes of units and compete on a level playing field.
  • Buyers may bid for either a part or all of the total units being sold.
  • Fast and efficient transaction structure.
  • Low transaction costs.
How Does The Auction Work?
A volume of units is offered for sale by auction. The volume being offered may have been sourced from one single seller or been aggregated from a number of sellers. There is no upper limit to the number of units that may be offered for sale using the auction.

GHG Emissions Corp intends to market each auction for some time in advance of the auction event. All offsets being offered for sale must be registered on the GHG Emissions Corp registry thus all documentation is readily available for review. Buyers will then have enough time to register as participants in the auction and to take all the necessary preparatory steps in order to be ready to participate in the forthcoming auction.

Buyers submit bids through a secure email address provided at time of registration and updated as new bids come in.

An annual fee of $1000USD will be required for participation in GHG Emissions Corp auctions. Once received you will be eligible to participate in all auctions held by GHG Emissions Corp for a period of one year. In addition if you are the successful bidder this fee will be deducted from the purchase price. Fees should be submitted by eTransfer to info@ghgemissionscorp.com.
